Wedding Photographer Berlin – Authentic Wedding Photography That Tells Your Story

A wedding is made up of countless moments. Some are filled with laughter and celebration, while others happen almost unnoticed—a quiet glance across the room, a reassuring hand, an embrace that lasts only a few seconds. Those are often the memories that matter most years later.

As a wedding photographer, I have been documenting weddings for more than 24 years, photographing over 638 weddings in more than 24 countries. Every celebration is different, and that is exactly why I never approach two weddings in the same way. Rather than following a fixed formula, I focus on telling your story as it naturally unfolds.

My approach is documentary, relaxed and unobtrusive. I don't believe your wedding day should feel like a long photo shoot. Instead of constantly directing or interrupting the flow of the day, I quietly observe what is happening around me and preserve the genuine emotions, interactions and atmosphere that make your wedding uniquely yours.

Whether you're planning an intimate civil ceremony at Rathaus Schöneberg or Standesamt Mitte, a stylish celebration at Villa Kogge, Alte Münze or Spreespeicher, portraits in the Botanical Garden, around Schloss Glienicke, at Sanssouci Palace Park in Potsdam, beside Wannsee, or a countryside wedding at one of Brandenburg's beautiful estates, my goal remains the same: to create a timeless record of your day without changing the way it naturally happens.

A Wedding Story Rather Than Posed Photographs

One of the first things many couples tell me is: „We're not really comfortable in front of the camera."

The truth is, you don't need to be. Most couples have never worked with a professional photographer before their wedding day, and they shouldn't have to worry about learning poses or remembering where to look. Your wedding is about celebrating with the people you love—not about performing for a camera.

That is why I work almost entirely in a documentary style. Instead of constantly arranging scenes, I let your day unfold naturally. I pay attention to the little interactions that often go unnoticed: parents seeing each other before the ceremony, friends laughing together during the reception, children exploring the venue, grandparents quietly observing everything around them, and the countless expressions that disappear within seconds.

Of course, every wedding also deserves beautiful portraits of the two of you. Even then, my goal is not to create overly staged photographs. I simply guide you into natural light, allow you to spend a few quiet moments together, and create images that feel relaxed rather than rehearsed.

The result is a wedding gallery that tells the complete story of your day—honest, emotional and timeless.

How I Document Your Wedding Day

Every wedding has its own rhythm. Some couples want their story documented from the morning preparations until the last dance. Others prefer to focus on the ceremony, the reception and the most meaningful parts of the day.

To suit different celebrations, photography coverage begins from six hours, with longer collections available for full-day weddings. Whatever you choose, my role remains the same: to document your wedding without becoming the centre of attention.

Throughout the day I naturally capture moments such as:

Rather than measuring success by the number of photographs taken, I focus on preserving the moments that truly matter. Those are the images that continue to tell your story long after the wedding itself has ended.

Weddings in Berlin and Brandenburg

Berlin is one of Europe's most diverse wedding destinations. Within a relatively short distance, you can celebrate in elegant historic buildings, modern industrial venues, beautiful parks, contemporary event spaces or peaceful lakeside locations. This variety makes every wedding feel different, even within the same city.

I regularly photograph weddings throughout Berlin and Brandenburg, including locations such as:

Each venue offers its own atmosphere, architecture and light. Instead of applying the same approach everywhere, I adapt to the surroundings and work with what makes each location unique. My aim is never to make different weddings look identical, but to preserve the character of your celebration exactly as it was.

Although Berlin is home, I also photograph destination weddings throughout Europe and around the world. Many international couples choose Berlin as the place where families and cultures come together. Others celebrate abroad after beginning their journey here. Wherever your wedding takes place, the same documentary approach travels with you.

English, German or Bulgarian – Communication Without Barriers

A relaxed wedding experience begins long before the wedding day itself. Clear communication, careful planning and getting to know each other help everything feel more comfortable once your celebration arrives.

I work fluently in English, German and Bulgarian, making communication easy for both local and international couples.

Over the years, I have photographed many multicultural weddings, particularly celebrations bringing together German and Bulgarian families. Every culture has its own traditions, pace and expectations, and understanding those differences helps everyone feel more relaxed throughout the day.

Whether your guests come from one country or several, my goal is always the same: to blend into the celebration naturally while documenting every important moment without unnecessary interruptions.

If you would like to see what a complete wedding day looks like rather than only selected highlight photographs, you can explore this full wedding in Berlin, discover an elegant celebration at Sanssouci Palace Park in Potsdam, or browse a wider selection of work in the gallery.

From Our First Conversation to Your Final Gallery

Great wedding photography starts long before the wedding day. That is why every collaboration begins with a complimentary consultation, either in person or via video call. It gives us the opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your plans and make sure you feel completely comfortable before making any decisions.

During our conversation, we typically talk about:

No two weddings are identical, and every timeline is different. Taking the time to understand your plans allows me to prepare properly while ensuring that photography fits naturally into your day instead of controlling it.

If you decide to book your wedding, your date is secured with a booking deposit, and every detail of our agreement is confirmed in writing. This gives both of us complete clarity well before the wedding day arrives.

I usually reply to enquiries within 48 hours, and communication remains open throughout the planning process. Whether you have questions about the schedule, portrait locations or the flow of the day, I'm always happy to help.

Additional Options

Every collection also includes complimentary drone footage whenever weather conditions, the venue and local regulations allow it. Travel throughout Germany is already included in every collection.

For destination weddings outside Germany, only flights and hotel accommodation are added for the Meisterwerk Collection.

If you'd like to compare the available collections, you'll find an overview in the Packages & Pricing section.

Real Weddings Instead of Selected Highlights

A single beautiful photograph can capture a moment. A complete wedding gallery tells an entire story.

That is why I believe it is far more valuable to show complete wedding days than only carefully selected portfolio images. You deserve to see how a photographer documents every part of a celebration—from quiet morning preparations and emotional ceremonies to speeches, dancing and everything in between.

If you're choosing someone to document one of the most important days of your life, seeing consistency across an entire wedding is far more meaningful than seeing only a handful of favourite photographs.
