Wedding Photography Portfolio – The Full Gallery

Explore 54 selected wedding photographs from different celebrations and discover my documentary approach to capturing real moments.

This gallery brings together 54 wedding photographs from many different weddings. It is not a single wedding story, but a carefully selected collection intended to give you a clear impression of my work. With over 24 years of experience and more than 638 weddings photographed across over 24 countries, I have seen how differently couples celebrate and experience their wedding days. This selection reflects that variety while showing the consistent approach behind my photography.

My style is documentary, with an emphasis on genuine interactions rather than constant posing. I pay attention to the moments that happen naturally between people: a quiet glance, a spontaneous embrace, a small gesture or an unexpected reaction. I also create couple portraits when they are part of the day, but I prefer simple guidance and natural movement over long sequences of carefully arranged poses.

As you explore the photographs, notice how different situations are represented. Some images may feel quiet and personal, while others capture movement and shared emotions. Consider which photographs stay with you and why. A wedding portfolio should help you understand more than a photographer's editing style. It should also give you a sense of how they observe people and which moments they consider worth remembering.

I am based in Berlin, where my only studio is located, and I work in German, English and Bulgarian. If you would like to see how my photography comes together throughout an entire wedding day, you can also explore my complete wedding stories. Those reportages show the connection between individual photographs, while this gallery offers a broader introduction to my visual approach.

My work takes me beyond Berlin, including London and other locations across different countries. Over more than 24 years, I have photographed over 638 weddings in more than 24 countries, each with its own setting, traditions and rhythm. Working in different environments has taught me that the same photographic approach cannot simply be applied to every situation in exactly the same way. A quiet ceremony, a lively gathering and an intimate moment between two people all require different decisions about distance, timing and perspective. When I select photographs for a portfolio, I consider how these different situations work together. I want the collection to reflect the variety of weddings I have documented while maintaining a recognisable approach based on observation rather than constant direction. The selection is therefore not simply a record of individual favourite photographs, but a broader look at how I respond to people and their surroundings.

When viewing a wedding photography gallery, I encourage couples to look beyond the first images that catch their attention. Consider how people interact, how movement is captured and whether the photographs feel connected to the situations in which they were taken. Notice the relationship between the people and the environment, particularly when the setting changes. A portfolio assembled across different weddings can help you understand whether a photographer's visual approach remains consistent without making every celebration look the same. It can also clarify your own preferences. You may discover that you value quieter observations more than carefully arranged portraits, or that both have a place in your wedding photographs. My intention is to give you enough variety to make that judgement for yourselves, without suggesting that your wedding should follow the appearance or structure of someone else's day.
